Here is this year's recap of my travels in 2024! 🏝🧭🌋🌞🌊✈
This year was very different for me seeing as though I did not venture out to anywhere mega like Europe or the Middle East. Instead, I spent a lot of time traveling a bit more closer to home going back and forth visiting the Dominican Republic and South America.
Here is a breakdown of my year of travel for 2024...
January: I ventured to San Jose, Costa Rica, and visited my first active volcano!
February: This month, I discovered a new city in Colombia: Cali. Look forward to reading my blog about this great city in the early part of next year! I also stopped in Managua, Nicaragua, and visited my second active volcano!
March: I made my way back to a place where my love affair with travel started...the Dominican Republic! I found myself going back and forth to D.R. this year visiting several different cities throughout the year...Puerto Plata, Santiago, and Santo Domingo.
April: Dominican Republic (Santo Domingo). + Cali, Colombia.
May: Des Moines, IA + Omaha, NE.
June: Dominican Republic (Santiago + Puerta Plata)
July: Dominican Republic (Santo Domingo). + Cali, Colombia. + Nashville, TN + Huntsville, AL.
August: Travel Break.
September: Travel Break.
October: Travel Break.
November: Cali, Colombia.
December: Travel Break.
To recap...I visited 2 new countries, 9 new cities, and 3 new states in total. Below par for my typical year of traveling...but it's not about the quantity, but the adventure. I learned a lot about these new places as well as myself. I visited the Dominican Republic and Cali, Colombia several times as you can see, and for good reason. Do not be surprised if I call one of these places home soon! 🏡
