Year of Travel 2023.

This recap of my Year of Travel in 2023 is a new blog I am starting that I believe would be beneficial to my followers and even myself when recollecting my many travels of the year...Enjoy!✈

Steps @ the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem

It was certainly a very interesting year of travel for me this year. I finally got to the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and a few more South and Central American countries. I didn't get a chance to do a lot of domestic travel here in the U.S. unfortunately...but there is always next year!

Here is a breakdown of my year of travel for 2023...

January: I started the year by visiting Panama for 3 days to see my people there. It is always a good time and I learn more each time I visit my native family home.

February: Travel Break.

March: Although I did touch European soil, I find myself referring to this trip as my Middle East trip! This trip was a long time coming! Here is my entire itinerary!

✈ 1 Day: Brussels, Belgium - Beer, Chocolate, Waffles, and Fries...Oh My!

✈ 4 Days: Tel Aviv, Israel - Israel: The Holy Land

✈ 2 Days: Amman, Jordan

✈ 2 Days: Wadi-Rumi, Jordan - Petra: I Came…I Climbed…I Conquered!

✈ 3 Days: Cappadocia, Turkey - Turkey: The Real Rocky Mountain High

✈ 2 Days: Istanbul, Turkey

I feel blessed and very fortunate to have visited the Holy Land when I did...especially now since the region is now at war. I pray that peace be made again sooner than later and the borders open up to allow people to travel to this great land.🙏🏽

April: Travel Break.

May: Travel Break.

June: Travel Break.

July: I managed to get a nice quick trip to Ecuador and Panama again before my next big trip the following month to Southeast Asia. * Be on the lookout for my next blog detailing my trip to Quito, Ecuador at the beginning of the year!

August: My trip to Southeast Asia! Here is the breakdown of my itinerary...\

✈ 2 Days: Singapore, Republic of Singapore

✈ 2 Days: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

✈ 4 Days: Phuket, Thailand

✈ 4 Days: Bangkok, Thailand

✈ 3 Days: Danang, Vietnam

On my way back Stateside from Vietnam, I had a 6-hour layover in Taiwan. I was able to take a taxi into Taipei City and visited Taipei 101..(the local skyscraper), had dinner, and caught a vibe that night before my final flight. * Be on the lookout for blogs in the upcoming year on all my adventures in Southeast Asia!

September: Travel Break.

October: This month I made a somewhat spontaneous trip to Guatemala and stayed 2 nights in Guatemala City along with a 2-day layover in Panama again. * Guatemala blog coming in 2024.

November: Travel Break.

December: Travel Break.

To recap...I finally got to visit Israel and I traveled to Southeast Asia for the 1st time. Along with trips to Ecuador and Guatemala...I visited a total of 11 new countries this year! All things considered, this was a slow year of travel for me lol. I say that jokingly of course, but I am very grateful and thank God I was healthy, able-bodied, and had the necessary means to travel this past year. My prayer for the new year is that we all remain in good health...that I can continue to inspire people with my travels in 2024...and that I can help you get to your next destination!
