Greensboro, NC in 24 Hours.

Whether you are a local or just passing thru, here are a few cool things to see and do in Greensboro!

1. Furnitureland South.

Furnitureland South...located in the Triad (High Point to be exact) claims to have the world's largest collection of furniture. Its outside facade has what I believe to be the world's largest armoire. Even if you are not in the market for overpriced furniture, it is a cool place to check out.

2. International Civil Rights Center and Museum (F.W. Woolworth Building).

The former F.W. Woolworth Restaurant is where four A&T college students staged the 1st known sit-in that sparked sit-ins throughout the country that eventually led to civil rights reform as it relates to food service. The diner has been preserved and the building itself made into a museum.

3. NC A&T Homecoming (GHOE).

If you should happen to be around the first weekend in November, you can take in A&T's homecoming...a week-long extravaganza perhaps better known as GHOE (The Greatest Homecoming on Earth!) You have the homecoming game itself, but for a whole week leading up to the game, there are day and night parties galore to attend. You don't have to be an alum to take part in the festivities...just be respectful and wear the right colors!

Additional Notes: Greensboro has some very good eats throughout the city, but if I had to point you in the right direction, I would say head downtown. There is a great string of restaurants to choose from. I would recommend Crafted if you are into Tacos...or Bourbon Bowl (Southern Cuisine).
