Chicago in 48 Hours.

Chicago...The Windy City...my favorite U.S. city by far! I will probably never visit Chicago in the wintertime, but Chicago in the summer is fantastic lol. Here are 7 suggestions for you to do if you are planning to spend a weekend in this great city.

1. The Bean.

Centrally located in the middle of the city and at the beginning of the Magnificent Mile, this large reflective bean should be at the top of your list!

2. Navy Pier.

Stop at the pier for a quick amusement park vibe, or just to take in the views and have lunch or dinner for a chill evening.

3. City River Cruise.

You want to take a city cruise down this river and get a history lesson on the great skyscrapers that make up this city and the architects behind them.

4. Willis Tower.

The Willis Tower (formerly known as The Sears Tower) now stands as the 3rd tallest in the U.S. There is a cool glass encasing that bumps out of the building that leaves you suspended over the city (this is not for the squeamish lol).

5. Grant Park.

You can catch random events being held around this famous water fountain all year long. And at night, you are bound to catch a light show!

6. Chicago Style Pizza.

Do I really have to convince you? lol. Chicago is also known for its hot dogs as well...Be sure to try both if you can! Also, if you are a big popcorn fan, Garrett's Popcorn is another staple of Chicago.

7. Wrigley Field.

Chicago is a great sports town! Whether it be the Bulls, Sky, Blackhawks, Bears, White Sox, Michigan, or Cubs...if you are a sports fan, depending on the season you might want to take in the experience of catching a game here (particularly at the World Famous Wrigley Field).

Additional Note: If shopping is your goal, you are bound to find yourself on Michigan Ave...aka The Magnificent Mile! Here you will find shops and boutiques galore...Gucci, Prada, Nike, etc.
