Bangkok: Survival of the Fittest.

My trip to Bangkok reminded me a lot of summertime back in the day in New York City...the streets were crowded, traffic ridiculous, sun scorching, and it was just competition to survive! Here are some great things to do when visiting this marvelous city!

The Streets of Bangkok

I arrived in Bangkok early in the afternoon and spent my day relaxing before my evening tour of the city. I started with a boat ride to the Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun). Our group arrived just in time to witness the sun go down and see the beautiful lighting of the temple at dusk. From there, it was back on the boat to our next destination to the other side of the city to explore the nightlife. We all grabbed tuk-tuks and ventured to the Flower Market, bustling Chinatown, and a few other choice highlights.

One of the top must see of the city is Wat Pho (the Temple of the Reclining Buddha).

Longtail boat ride with sightseeing of Wat Pak Nam- Big Buddha.

Railway Market and Floating Market.

Mahanakhon Building Skywalk.

Additional Note: A couple of honorable mentions...the MBK Shopping Center...the city's largest mall. There you will find no shortage of knock of brands lol. And there is also the Louis Vuitton store. To be more precise LV The Place Bangkok. I did not get a chance to go in there myself, but if you look up videos of this particular storefront, it is a whole experience like none other!

I spent a total of 4 nights in Bangkok doing a little bit of everything. Despite the searing heat, traffic, and crowds...I must say the food was great and people I came across were extremely nice.

My advice...dress light, bring a hand towel, portable fan, whatever...and get to Bangkok! ✈
